Why I wanted to Stare My Story.

About Me

Welcome to the place where I share my journey as a dad to a son with autism, and what I’ve learned along the way — the highs, the lows, the lessons, and the love.

I’m not here as an expert, just a father walking this road with my boy, figuring things out one day at a time. This blog is a space to be real — about the challenges, the breakthroughs, and the beauty of seeing the world through my son’s eyes.

Some days are tough — filled with questions I don’t have answers to, and moments where patience runs thin. But other days are full of unexpected joy: a new word, a shared laugh, a quiet connection that means everything. Through it all, I’m learning that progress doesn’t always look the way I thought it would, and that love often shows up in the smallest, most powerful ways. This blog is my way of processing it all — and maybe offering encouragement to other parents walking a similar path.

Meet My Son

This is my son Joshua. He is funny, charming, sweet and blessed with an extrodinary intellect that he'll learn to harness.

Autism to me, says that I accept my child wholly. I celebrate his differences and his quirky-ness. I advocate diversity. I try to empower him. I am proud of his successes, no matter how small they seem. I hope he holds onto the compassion he has in his heart into adulthood. I do not think he needs “fixing”. I am proud that he is my son, and sometimes I am humbled by that very same thought.

"I am different, not less. The world needs all kinds of minds to work together. We need people on the autism spectrum to bring new perspectives, unique talents, and a different kind of thinking. It’s not about fixing autism—it’s about understanding it."
